I was out of town Sunday and therefore could not make any sweets. So, it’s late in the week and we still needed our sweet fix. This cookie is so good because it has peanut butter in the cookie, topped with a candy bar and a marshmallow. Can I just say oh my goodness! As you know, I love anything peanut butter and chocolate and when a marshmallow is added into that mix then it equals heaven. If you look back through my other posts, you will find that I love to make recipes with that combination.
Now, remember my crisco and peanut butter hack with the measuring cup from my Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies. See, how often I use this hack. Again, clean-up is a breeze. I have a pair of kitchen scissors that I use for food only. Using the scissors made cutting the marshmallows in half super simple.
I rolled the cookies to about 1 1/2 inches in size. To me, this was the perfect size cookie. Time for the oven.
Once they come out of the oven after 8 minutes, add marshmallows on top. Place in oven for about 3-4 minutes. They will be shiny when they come out of the oven.
As soon as they come back out of the oven, place the pieces of candy bar on top of the cookie and let cool.
Don’t these look absolutely heavenly? I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into them. The great thing about this recipe is that you can add whatever candy bar on top of these cookies. It’s a great recipe that children can help make along with you.
Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think.
